La Collezione della Famiglia Anastasov comprende oltre 600 dipinti e disegni di Wassil Ivanoff (1909\u20131975) appartenenti a vari periodi creativi. Oltre al ciclo emblematico “Cosmos”, che ha consacrato l\u2019artista come creatore dello stile “Grafica Cosmica” nell’Enciclopedia Americana d’Arte Moderna, la collezione comprende anche ritratti poco conosciuti, paesaggi, nature morte, studi di nudo e motivi astratti. Questa selezione ricca e variegata offre una prospettiva unica sull\u2019evoluzione e sulla profondit\u00e0 dell’artista.<\/p>\n

Con il crescente riconoscimento di Wassil Ivanoff, credo che questa collezione rappresenti un’opportunit\u00e0 entusiasmante per mostre, collaborazioni o altri progetti curatoriali. Le sue opere pi\u00f9 importanti sono state esposte da marzo a maggio 2019 presso la Galleria Nazionale d\u2019Arte della Bulgaria in occasione del centenario della sua nascita.<\/p>\n

Curiosamente, poco dopo l’Enciclopedia delle Belle Arti di New York lo defin\u00ec il precursore di una nuova corrente artistica, allora chiamata “Grafica Cosmica”. Per un artista della Repubblica Popolare di Bulgaria, com’era chiamata all\u2019epoca, Parigi non era solo un luogo d\u2019incontro con l\u2019arte mondiale, ma anche parte dell\u2019Occidente, dove l\u2019arte veniva valutata in modo diverso, sia dal punto di vista estetico che commerciale.
